Wow! Well here I am again for my yearly post :) Once a year I recommit myself to blogging...and it only happens once ha But now that I am graduated and have more time maybe I really will blog more.

Here is a HUGE post of pictures of what has gone on this summer!

First and most exciting, I finally graduated!! I graduated in May in Family Finance. I am now working at Neighborhood Nonprofit Housing Corporation. You can see what we do here. It's such a great job and I really like the program that I am working with. I am actually only working part time for now.

For "OUR" (Riley graduates in December) graduation gift we gave ourselves a trip to JAMAICA!!! WE LOVED IT!! We had so much fun and would go back in a heartbeat.

This picture was taken watching the sunset one night at Rick's Cafe. Rick's Cafe was located right on the beach and they had cliff divers you could watch while you were there. Sadly our cool pictures and video's of the divers got deleted somehow :(

Riley and I drank about a billion Pina Coladas and Strawberry Daiquiri's everyday. What a life!

Here is part of our resort from the ocean. We actually stayed in one of these pink bungalows. It was super amazing and as you can see about 50 feet from the water!

Each day our room was set up so beautifully!

I don't think I'll be able to ever go back to a regular size tub. This thing was AMAZING!!

And this shower was so much fun. As you can see it is outside! It was connected to our room so you were surround by tall walls but there were no ceilings. I loved it!

A couple of days we left the resort to do some adventures around the island. The first one that we did was zip lining. Riley's choice...but I definitely loved it. Our guides were super crazy and made the whole thing so much fun!!

Such a little amount of pictures to do any justice for the trip. My favorite part of the trip I actually have NO pictures of. One day we took a bus (Jamacian's are SUPER CRAZY drivers) a couple hours to Ocho Rios where Dunn's River Falls is located. Dunn's River Falls is a huge waterfall that you climb in a human chain. The guides that went with us were running up and down the falls while we are very slowly making our way up. They are such brave people.

I also loved the shows every night put on at our resort. The Jamaican's are amazing dancers. They can all dance so good. The boys were amazing break dancers and so much fun to watch. I'll post a video later of some crazy dancing if I can find it.

Raegen and Wes were married in June. It was so much fun and all our family (except Broc :() were able to come out for the wedding. We had so much fun spending time with them. It really sucks having your family spread throughout the world, and all the nieces and nephews gone!

A couple week's after Raegen's wedding we headed to Montana for Kaelyn's birthday and Isaac's blessing. I love going up to visit them! We had such a good time!

But instead she took a bite out of it. It was so funny! She immediately started trying to spit the wax out but she had chewed it up so it was stuck all over her mouth. I couldn't help laughing while trying to help her!

My mom celebrated her 50th birthday in July (can you believe she is 50?) We didn't do anything big. We usually celebrate all of these big occasions just with family and all our family is gone :(

So instead the Grandmas, My parents, Raeg, Beau, and I went to dinner at Maddox!

While we were eating Raeg and I snuck out to decorate their car.

Her birthday is July 2nd and that weekend Logan had their firework show. Wes and Riley were working for Firework's West this summer so we decided to go to the stadium show and stay for their firework show that they put on.

So that about sums up our summer. I'll try to keep posting to keep you all updated :)

My Testimony

Lately I have been overwhelmed with the blessing that my Heavenly Father has given to me and Riley. I don't write in my journal....like ever...I haven't written in my journal since before I met Riley (that is really bad). So I figure that hopefully by bearing my testimony on my blog my family members and future generations of my family will be able to know of my testimony of the gospel.

I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true and correct church on the earth. I am so grateful to have been raised in a family that taught me the teachings of our Savior, who blessed me with the knowledge of the gospel and the knowledge of the plan of salvation. I know that we are here on earth to learn and to grow. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book and that if we abide by it's teachings we are truly blessed. I have seen the way that it has blessed my life as well as my marriage. It is so amazing how studying the Book of Mormon brings so many blessings. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and that he spoke to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I am amazed at the things he suffered to bring about the restoration of the gospel. He is an amazing man and an example to all of unshakable faith. I am especially grateful for temples and have been very overwhelmed lately with the blessings I have seen it bring into my life. It's funny how the temple is maybe 5 minutes away and how it can seem like such a hard thing to get their sometimes. I have a goal to attend the temple as often as I can because I know that the ordinances performed their are so sacred and that attending the temple blesses our life immensely. In a recent lesson at church given by Patriarch and Sister Tueller they gave to us a promise that was given by President Vaughn J Featherstone when he was the President of the Logan Temple. He talked about if we can just attend the temple a half day once a month, all of the blessings that will come into our lives. These blessings I know to be true because I have seen them happen in my family and with those around me. I am so especially grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ! I am so grateful for the atonement, and that because of him we are able to repent of our sins and to become clean. That is the most amazing blessing that can be given to us and I am so grateful that I have the knowledge of the atonement and of repentance. I know that repentance is so real and brings us so much closer to our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ. I have a testimony that Thomas S. Monson is inspired by God and that he knows what is best for us. If we heed to his words and try to live as he tells us we will be blessed and led to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for my testimony and for the understanding that I have of the church. I feel that I was blessed with the understanding and faith to know of the importance of each principal of the Gospel and why we need to follow those. I know that if we are obedient to the teachings of our Savior we are truly blessed. Sometimes it can be hard to follow a teaching when we don't necessarily agree or understand, but our Heavenly Father has a plan for us and he wants us to return to him! I love my family so much and I know that through the temple ordinances we can be together forever. I am so glad to know that I can spend eternity with the ones that I love most and that no matter what happens in this life we will always be with one another. I leave this as my testimony with you!

Can you believe it? I'm finally updating my blog...it's been over a year. So here is a little of what has gone on in the past year.

I started coaching Logan High Cheer 2 years ago as an assistant and in February I got the head coaching job. It has been so much fun and I love the kids that I coach. They are doing so well and are so much fun.

In July we went to Bear Lake. Here are just a few pictures....

My family came up for the Utah State-BYU game (yes my family cheers for BYU....as do I). Sadly it didn't turn out like we would have liked. We still had a lot of fun. My family stayed the night and we hiked up to the wind caves and enjoyed conference together.

In October we celebrated Riley's 26th birthday. We had a little get together for games, cake, and ice cream.

This Halloween Riley had to work so I spent it at my family's.

Then in late October we celebrated birthdays of Riley, my dad, Raegen, and Crystal. My mom made an amazing dinner and Crystal made homemade creme brulee.

Raegen moved up here for school in the fall and it has been so much fun! We hang out a lot and do a lot together....i love it!

I got released from Relief Society in August and Riley got put in the bishopric in June. Besides that we are both just working and going to school. I graduate in May and am so excited to be done. I also just got an internship and Neighborhood Nonprofit Housing Corporation that I am so excited for. It's going to be a great opportunity and give me lots of experience!

Wow!! It has been such a long time since I have posted anything. Obviously things have been crazy busy around here. Everything is going so well though!!! We're back in school both taking 15 credits and Riley is working 40 hours a week...sometimes 48, so he is always moving. I am coaching cheer at Logan High and am loving it. I'm also serving as the RS President which keeps me on my feet. It is such an amazing calling and I love it so much! It has brought many blessings into our lives!!

I put all the pictures in way random order...sorry, but this is pretty much our whole summer of exciting activities!

Labor Day Riley and I went hiking with my family up 27th street in Ogden. It was a beautiful trail but a very HOT day!

I also went golfing for real my first time and I loved it. I'm pretty sure if we had the money to go more often I could become a professional. I've already asked Riley for some pink golf clubs!

Our anniversary was so much fun this year. We drove to San Diego and stayed at the Grand Hyatt Resort!! On our way down we stopped in Las Vegas for a night!

Riley and I also ran the Wasatch Back Relay again. It is so fun! Riley said he would never do it again but I know that he loved it haha This was the second year he has ran it and I know I can talk him into it again :)

Broc ran the first half of Ragnar...it is such a hard run and he did such a good job!

DREAM BIG!!!!!

There is something about America and Airplanes that just really go together for me! These are two subjects I am very passionate about. I have always had such an great love for our country! I would love to be able to serve our country and to make it possible for people's dreams to come true. I am so grateful for our forefathers who fought four our freedom. They were incredible, God-fearing men and knew that this was a special and very sacred place. Just thinking about it brings tears! What a blessing it is to live in America. I think so often that we take it for granted and complain too much about what we don't have. I think we always need to remember how special it is to be an American! I AM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!
I also have always had a love for airplanes. Not really commercial liners...I think they are rather boring! But small planes...I think they are amazing. I I always had a dream to be able to fly in the air force! I was actually going to join after high school and I still don't know why I didn't. I remember getting very discouraged telling people about my dreams and hearing so many things about being a woman pilot. I don't know why I let it get to me...anyway...i did...and I didn't end up joining. A very big regret!
I really look up to those that have the courage to fly and am SOOO jealous of what they get to experience! I know that it takes so much hard work and dedication!
This week we were able to go to the air show! I LOVE the air show! Sadly I forgot my camera! But I had such a blast and being there, it just made me so happy!
I just wanted to say thank you to all the men and WOMEN of America who are serving is today in all branches of the armed services. What amazing courage they have! We should all be grateful to them. I pray for there safety and may God always be with them!
And I say to everyone else...DREAM BIG!

Busy, Busy, Busy!!!!

Thing just keep getting busier! i am working at Macey's and just started coaching cheer at Logan High School, luckily I am not going to school in the summer and.......I just got called as the Relief Society President in my ward. Way scary but way exciting!!! Things are going so well though! Riley and I are both taking the summer off form school so we at least get to spend time with one another in the mornings!

Here are some pictures from the MTC over a month ago! Duncan is in Provo at the MTC and if he is able to get his visa in time and the swine flu dies down he will be leaving to Tampico, Mexico on May 25th. We miss him so much but are so proud of him! We know he is going to be such an awesome missionary!

So I really hate when people don't update their blogs but I really don't like updating mine! Things are just too boring...always school and work and no kids to post funny things about! Hopefull coming in Two years :) But I guess the past couple of months have been pretty exciting for our lives!

JAZZ GAME

In February we went to a Jazz game with Riley's family!!! It was so much fun! Riley's little brother Duncan is leaving March 25th on his mission to Tampico, Mexico so they wanted to get the whole family together before he leaves!!! The game was so fun and we stayed in a very nice marriot Residence!!! Sunday morning we attended music and the spoken word. It was so fun and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is very amazing...so much better in person!

Crew's Birthday

February 1st was my nephew Crew's birthday!!! I can't believe he is already two. We had a birthday party with lots of family!!! It was a lot of fun!!

My Birthday

I had such an awesome birthday this year! I LOVED IT!!! Riley got me a guitar and some jeans from buckle that I really really wanted, along with guitar music and other clothes!!! My parents took us out to dinner that night at Cafe Sabor. It was so good...we stuffed ourselves way too much!! And best of all my grandma made me a homemade German Chocolate Cake!! Everyone who knows her knows she is such an amazing cook!! I have wanted it forever but it takes so long to make and is a lot of hard work but she totally surprised me!!

I don't look very excited because I'm half asleep but I really do love my new guitar...I just need time to learn how to play it now :)

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was also way fun. We went with our besties, Mckade and Stacie, to lava hot springs and stayed the night in Pocatello and the Red Lion or something like that ha It was snowing really bad outside so luckily we were able to stay in the hot springs...but then it got too hot so we didn't stay very long! Still..so much fun!!

Riley and I were so lucky to have the oppurtunity to go to kind of a private concert with Kalai. My sister in law ran into him somewhere and asked him if he would do it for her for a surprise valentine's gift for my brother Broc who is a very big fan of Kalai.

Broc was even invited by Kalai to play a couple of songs with him!! He even commented on Broc's talent playing the guitar.

My favorite part of the night...he signed a CD for me and this is what it said...he loves me haha

So I have hardly any pictures from the Holidays :( for a couple of reasons. 1. Our camera has been way stupid lately and I don't know how to work it and 2. I had the flu and didn't really feel like taking pictures but here's what we have. Lys and I in our new coats!
Totally surprised I got the coat. It's really hard to surprise me because I always peek and open them early so Riley was really proud of himself this year!

I LOVE my niece and nephews!! And I miss them so much!!! Harrison and Lily live in Cleveland so I rarely get to see them and Crew lives in Salt Lake!! They are so funny and I love hanging out with them!!!

My mom is so amazing!!! Seriously...I have such awesome parents!!! She has been the most amazing example in my life!! She is always teaching us to do what is right. We have such a good relationship. She has always been there for me!! She has always had to do everything for me becuase I was too big of a baby and too shy to do it myself. I would seriously beg her for days to call and make appointments for me..but she said I had to learn how :( She did my clothes shopping until I moved out. I still ask her too but she won't do that either!

She is always taking us on fun vacations and doing adventurous things!! Some of my favorite memories are going in the mountains in the fall time and cutting down the gorgeous leaves. She is very active and loves to hike and be outside.

She is such a wonderful mother and grandmother!!! I love you so much mom!!

I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR MY DAD!!! I love him so much!! Really he is such an amazing person and example to everyone!! If any of you know my dad you know exactly what I am talking about!! He is a very service oriented person. He is constantly doing service for others! I remember many times he would take me to go do service and he would always say, "Now don't you tell anyone about this!" He is so humble and honest. He is also very God fearing. He taught his children well how to excercise their faith!! I could go on and on! But I am so grateful for him and for being such a wonderful dad!!! I love you!!!

Health and the gospel!!!

Today I am so grateful for my health!! I am lucky to be such a healthy person and so is Riley. I was reading a blog last night that I saw a friend had written about on her blog, about this kid from Salt Lake who just died from cancer. He was only 8 years old. But it was so amazing to see how wonderful he kept his spirit's and how he worried about everybody else but himself. He knew that he was going to be with his Heavenly Father and also with his family again some day. So much faith in such a small boy. I'm also so grateful to have the knowledge of the gospel and to have such a loving Father in Heaven. I have such a strong testimony of the Savior's love for us. I hope that we all know that!!! Christmas and Snow!!!!

This was at our apartment last year...probably in like October!!! I am so sad it hasn't snowed yet!! I love snow and I am so excited for Christmas!! Yes...I am already listening to Christmas music and yes...Riley hates it!!! But he did say I could put up the Christmas lights on Sunday. I am so grateful for God's wonderful creations and for this most beautiful world!!! We are so blessed!

So I saw this awesome idea on one of my friends blog. Since November is the month of Thanksgiving she posts somethings she is grateful for each day. Well I'm a little late but better late then never. So one of the things I am most grateful for in my life...RILEY!!! Although his deep love for football(or sports in general) can be a bit frustrating at times, I really do enjoy sharing those memories with him.
He does so many crazy things for me. This is when we went miniature golfing and I hit my ball in the water on the second hole and I was so devestated so he fished it out for me!!! What a sweetie!

Most of you know...he loves to do random and crazy things. One Saturday night I had to work late and he was picking me up and we were going shopping after. Well, he picked me up like this...I honestly thought it was his real hair haha But he always makes things so fun and interesting.

Same here haha I love Riley so much and am so grateful to be able to be with him forever!!! I am grateful for his strong testimony and for his love of the gospel. He is such a good example to me and always pushing me to be a better person. I love you Ri!!

Wednesday was Raegen's birthday!! So tuesday my mom took Chels, Raeg and I to the Jason Mraz concert. We had so much fun and we were very loud. Then we stayed over night in The Little America. Wednesday we went shopping for a beach cruiser for Raeg and the got pedicures...it was so much fun!!!much fun!!!

Riley turned 24 on the 17th!!! Unfortunately...I am very poor so I wasn't able to get him many things or do anything way fun!!! We did have a birthday party Saturday night with our friends. We had so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got him three pairs of aviators!!

Breakfast with the fam!!! Delicious and so much fun. it was kind of a rough day though...we went out to get in our car and we had a flat tire and many things happened throughout the day haha

So Ashley tagged me like 2 weeks ago...I'm supposed to write 6 insignificant things about myself that nobody knows. I don't really have any though...

1. I have a really hard time sleeping in the same bed with Riley!!! No matter how hot it is I HAVE to have a sheet and a big blanket. And they have to be covering me especially my feet! Riley moves around so much that the sheets come untucked and I can't sleep the rest of the night...very frustrating. Also I love a fan in the window?

2. I love to take baths...like up to 3 and 4 times a day. And the water has to be almost boiling :) I am worse in the winter but I still do it in the summer!! When I was little I used to have to ask my mom if I could get in because I got in so much!! Now i have to ask Riley.

3. I can't fall asleep unless I have a cold drink of water next to my bed. I rarely drink it but just in case I need it in the middle of the night...Riley doesn't like it because I waste too much of our good water.

4. I have to fall asleep with a movie on. In high school I would watch the same movie over and over again. Now I do the same thing but Riley really hates it because he has to watch it and can't fall asleep. I usually don't even last ten minutes through it but it has to be on for me to fall asleep.

5. I HATE being late!!! I usually leave for something way early and get there about 20 minutes early and regret it but I absolutely hate being late. I get really ansy and have to get going...but Riley doesn't know how to be on time so this makes things so much worse!!! Especially for church. He'll wake up at about 8:30 when we have to be there at 9:00 then have to iron his shirt, eat some breakfast....and always takes like 10 minutes to brush his teeth...it drives me NUTSO!!!! So...we are never on time.

6. I have an obsession with teeth!!! It is really bad when I meet somebody new!! The whole time I am talking to somebody I stare at their teeth. I usually don't catch most of the conversation...it gets really embarrassing. And now that I work at Macey's and am always interacting with people it is really bad. I always catch myself looking at their teeth. For some reason they just amaze me! I probably have your teeth memorized...but please don't worry and don't be scared to talk to me.

Harrison had a rough night. First, he was playing in the sandpile and was stung by two bees :( and then I tried to cheer him up with sparklers and he went to throw it down after it was burned out and it hit my arm and bounced back into his eye. It made me so sad!!

Our First Anniversary!!

For our anniversary we started the day off at the Bountiful Temple. It was our first time being back to that temple since we were married. Riley wanted to do something fun and I LOVE miniature golfing. I don't know if he had that much fun but enjoyed it. And last, but definitely not least we stayed at The Alaskin Inn!!
I accidentally dropped my ball in the water and Riley and to dive in to get it.

I had our cake remade so it wouldn't be a year old. It still tasted nasty though.

In Cleveland we were able to go to Cedar Pointe...the largest theme park in the United States.

Las month just about the whole Durrant family had the oppurtunity to go to Cleveland to visit Josh, Liz, Harrison and Lily!!! We took a red eye flight to Cleveland. We left SLC International at midnight and had a layover in Atlanta! Mom, me and Raeg waiting for our bus to take us to the airport.

Right now Riley and I are both attending Utah State. Still living in the freezing cold Logan, Utah!!! Riley wants to major in Business but is not exactly sure what in Business. International? Management? I think those are his top two picks right now! As for me I have no idea what I want to major in. Any ideas? My range goes from History to Financial Planning. Riley is still working at Thermo Fisher Scientific. It's a boring job but pays good and has very good benefits so it will do until he graduates. I work at the Bakery in Macey's. It was really fun at first but now is getting very old!!

In January we went to Rexburg to go to the Temple Open House. It was so fun and such a beautiful Temple.

Festival of Trees!!!!

Last Thursday Shantelle and I drove down to Salt Lake to go see the festival of trees!! It was so awesome!! People donate beautiful Christmas trees worth a ton of money and 100% of the money goes to Primary Children's Hospital!!! You could seriously spend 2 whole days looking at the tree's and reading all the stories behind them but unfortunately we only had a couple of hours!!!
I thought my family would like this tree!!! It's a BYU tree!

I just like this one because it's a Disney Princess Tree.

This Darth Vader tree was definitely one of my favorite's!!!

Whoever made this display put a lot of time and was the most creative one I saw!!! I loved it!!!!

For my dad's birthday, I guess he took us so it wasn't really from us, we went to the BYU Colorado State game!!! It was so much fun and we had such a fun time together!!! Afterwards. Crystal made us Barbeque pork sandwhiches and a DELICIOUS pumpkin pie desert.

The night befor Josh flew back to Cleveland was Katie's (Liz's sister) wedding. We went and hung out and the reception for a little while and then said our goodbye's which again was very hard for me!!! They all looked so pretty and hansom!!!

We were so excited for Josh, Liz and the kids to come home for a little while. I'm not very good at taking picture but here was the day I "stole" the kids. I was supposed to be babysitting but for me it was just FUN!!!! Me and harrison had so much fun popping the balloons, squishing the "gross" box elder bugs and dancing to Jack Johnson. Harrison was making Lily laugh so hard when he was playing with the "big balloon". She sure loves her older brother.
